City Centre For the last several years the city center has seen a major transformation and now someone can spend an entire day and still not manage to see everything. From the Triumphal Gate to the giant statue of Alexander the Great, the numerous museums surrounding the area and the old stone bridge.

Old Stone Bridge in Skopje is one of the greatest monuments of this kind. Crossing over the bridge, you do not just cross over to the other bank of the river Vardar. This bridge also unites the cultures rooted and blooming in a single place, in the same city of Skopje, thus the bridge represents a corridor of civilization too. Nowadays, same as six centuries ago, people use the bridge to cross from the new city Centre filled with coffee places to the old bazaar.

Old bazaar has been a center for trade and merchants as early as the 12th century and nowadays it represents an iconic heritage site for the city.

Kale Fortress The old fortress of the city or as it is known Kale Fortress was built by the Byzantines in the 6th century, and still remains the dominant structure in the city.

The Museum of the Macedonian Struggle is one of the newly built objects within the project "Skopje 2014". It is a national museum of the Republic of Macedonia and it's located in the capital city of Skopje.

Mother Teresa Memorial House Located in the City Centre this landmark was built to cherish and glorify the life work, generosity, perseverance and dedication of one of the greatest persons that leaved in our city.

The recently-opened Holocaust Memorial Center in Skopje is an imposing structure, located in what was once a Jewish neighborhood.

Daut Pasha Hammam a former hammam (public bath) is located in the entrance of the Old Bazaar in Skopje. This monumental statue of Islamic Profane architecture was built in 1484 by the famous Turkish general Daut Pasha.

Matka Canyon is only a 30 minute drive from the city and represents one of the favourite week-end destinations for Skopje citizens. Although it\'s a manmade lake in a canyon formed by the river Treska, the surroundings are astonishing and full of natural beauty. Taking a tour to the caves by boat is a must.

Monastery of St. Panteleimon welcomes all those who are looking for peace and tranquility. The monastery is one of the most beautiful in the country and also the oldest one and the most important. There are evidences which show that it was built in the 12tc century and it was beautifully painted in 1164. The monastery bears the name St. Panteleimon which is known as the protector of health.
